Gesico is an ancient rural centre rich in nuraghi like the nuraghi of "SITZIDDIRI" , San Sebastiano and Accasa , that are placed in strategical sites. The San Mauro mountain's, in its top top were foun thousand of arrous made of silica and obsidian.
Its architectural goods are also very important: the numerous ancient churches, called it "seven churches town".
Today Gesico is also famous for its Murales and its sculptures made by the best artist of Sardinia, that found here an inspired atmosfere.


St. Amatore country church
Romanesque style (12 th century)
Inside there are a marble Roman Sarcophagus;
a silver shrine countaining St. Amatore relies and the grave were he has buried.
There is one nave, with an only income, shared in three spaces by a series of pillons surpassed by arches.

St. Giusta church gothic - catalan style (16 th century) Inside there are baroque altares made of polychrome marble; a wooden crucifix of the 16 th century.

St. Maria of Itria church
romanic - pisan period (13 th century)
Originally there was a bell tower rising above the church's face countaing a bronze bell, named aften Madonna of Itria. today this bell is in the parochial church.
On the lateral walls there are the pensil arches, this tipical decorative elements of Romanic architecture are also in the apse prospect.
